Australia’s most underrated rock outfit, Brisbane’s Full Flower Moon Band, are releasing a deluxe edition of their awesome 2024 album, Megaflower.
Arriving Monday 8 December, the album is available on vinyl for pre-order here, with a limited 200 editions signed by the band, or can be pre-saved here for the digital enthusiasts.
The band’s charismatic frontwoman Kate “Babyshakes” Dillon describes the deluxe edition as “made for the fans” and “a rebellion against the industry norm of what a deluxe album is.”
The deluxe edition features six new tracks, including a collaboration with Drunk Mums and a live version of ‘Kiss Him Goodbye’.
“Megaflower Deluxe is a wild selection of off-cuts, collabs, and songs that didn’t make the album but still feel a part of the Megaflower world,” says Babyshakes. “We’ve put together enough bonus material that it can be released as a standalone LP. This means that fans don’t have to buy the original record twice. It’s about giving more from the Megaflower world, not just repackaging it.
“I’m excited to be challenging what a deluxe album is, and I hope other bands follow suit. If you’re going to do a deluxe, make it deluxe.”
Megaflower came out in the middle of last year and debuted at #1 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart and #6 on the ARIA Vinyl Chart.
The album includes singles ‘Harder Man’ featuring Nicholas Allbrook of POND and ‘Scene’ featuring American art punks Gustaf, with lead single ‘Smoking’ dropping Monday.
Having performed to sold-out crowds and appeared at festivals including Splendour In The Grass, Yours & Owls, and Party In The Paddock, Full Flower Moon Band are bringing rock back to the mainstream.
