Nate Faker (aka Nathan Hudson) is back with brand new single ‘Comet’, his first release in 14 years.
The first glimpse of Faker’s upcoming new album, Enjoy Your Problems, ‘Comet’ is a catchy indie ditty about standing your ground as the world falls apart around you.
“It’s about a comet crashing down into the middle of your street, home, neighbourhood, town, and life and trying to stand your ground, even though it feels ridiculous to do so,” says Faker.
“It’s about what the world is at the moment, and trying to find an optimistic spin. Ultimately, we’re surviving. Sometimes you can see the comet coming, and there’s no point running, you just have to face it.”

A self-taught musician who was told by music teachers he wasn’t suited to making music, Nate spent his early years after high school delivering pizzas to pay the bills and writing songs at night.
Forming in 1996, Faker battled for many years playing local gigs before dropping their debut album Addicted Romantic in 2005. It wasn’t until their follow-up album Be the Twilight, which arrived in 2007 and contained the hit single ‘This Heart Attack’, that Faker became a household name, playing festival main stages and receiving national acclaim.
The band’s final album, Get Loved, arrived in 2011, with the band going their separate ways two years later. Nate left Australia amid the band’s demise and personal issues, working odd jobs and studying filmmaking while living in Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, São Paulo and Mexico City.
But music always drew him back, with Nate starting a new project, Map of Stars, where he lived in a different city for a month, would connect with musicians and write and record two songs.
That experience spurred him to write the upcoming album, Enjoy Your Problems. Fans can expect more music from Faker in 2026, along with live performances with a new band, including a special performance at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
