Foo Fighters Announce One-Off Tasmanian Gig
The American rockers are playing Launceston’s UTAS Stadium on Saturday 24 January.

Rock royalty is headed to Tasmania next year. Foo Fighters have announced a special one-off gig at Launceston’s UTAS Stadium on Saturday 24 January.
The show marks the band’s first live performance in Tassie since 2015 and their first ever visit to Launceston. The show is Foo Fighters’ 14th jaunt down under and follows their last tour in 2023 that saw them play to sold-out stadiums in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in support of their 11th album, But Here We Are:
Fans can expect to hear all their iconic hits, ‘The Pretender’, ‘Breakout’, ‘This Is a Call’, ‘My Hero’, ‘All My Life’, ‘Everlong’, ‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood’, ‘Learn To Fly’, ‘Best Of You’, ‘Monkey Wrench’, ‘Times Like These’, ‘Walk’ and many more.
A couple of awesome Aussie acts will support the Foos, with Brisbane rockers Full Flower Moon Band and Launceston psych trio Spooky Eyes both taking to the stage on the night.
When it comes to getting tickets, Telstra Plus Members get first dibs, with the pre-sale running for 48 hours from 12pm AEDT on Friday 5 December via telstra.com.au/plus.
Next up it’s Frontier Members, with the pre-sale lasting 24 hours and kicking off at 1pm AEDT on Monday 8 December via frontiertouring.com/foofighters.
The general public on-sale begins at 4pm AEDT on Wednesday 10 December via frontiertouring.com/foofighters.

One of the few remaining global rock superstars, Foo Fighters have been out there getting it done for more than 30 years.
Founded by Dave Grohl after the demise of Nirvana, the band are much loved in Australia, having sold over 1.8 million records and had nine of their albums go to #1 – the most #1 in any territory for the band.
After several difficult years since the passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins, the Foos returned to the stage in September of this year after a break for a run of guerrilla club shows featuring new drummer Ilan Rubin (Nine Inch Nails, Paramore).
The band have also released two new singles – ‘Asking For a Friend’ and ‘Today’s Song’, the first new music from Foo Fighters in two years.
After playing Tassie, the Foos have locked in a tour across the UK and Europe for June 2026, supported by Aussies Royel Otis and Otoboke Beaver, Inhaler, Die Spitz, Idles and Fat Dog, before hitting North America for a stadium summer tour in August/September alongside guests Queens of the Stone Age, Mannequin Pussy, and Gouge Away.
