First International Guests Announced for BIGSOUND 2026
The biggest week in Australian music returns, with international industry guests from the likes of Rough Trade Records (UK), Bandcamp (US), Hellfest (FR), Low Profile Sync Agency (US) and Sziget Festival (Hungary) making up the 2026 delegation.

Australia’s biggest music conference BIGSOUND returns to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley from 1-4 September for another jam-packed four days of conferences, workshops and live performances.
This week, the first international speakers were revealed, with representatives from ROAM Artists (UK), Reeperbahn (GER), DMT Law Firm (US), Carpark Records (US), The Great Escape (UK), True Panther (US) and SXSW (US) leading the first wave of guests.
Some of the speakers include Rough Trade Retail’s Nigel House, Bandcamp Daily’s Mariana Timony, Hellfest’s Christie Medina-Gonzalez, Low Profile’s Senior Director of Licensing & Admin Carole Ann Vetter and Sziget Festival booker and event manager Márk Bóna.
Also announced were David Telfer, Lawyer at DMT Law Firm (US), Christina Austin, Agent at Cobra (UK), Kelley Lin, Label/General Manager at True Panther (US), Lucy Atkinson, agent at ROAM Artists (UK), Steph Salas, Label Manager at Carpark Records (US) and representivities from Reeperbahn (GER), SXSW (USA) and The Great Escape (UK).
QMusic & BIGSOUND CEO Kris Stewart said, “Each year, alongside our Conference Curators Cathy Oates and Niriko McLure, our commitment is to bring global music industry decision makers to Brisbane. We want people to leave BIGSOUND with relationships that support them across their entire career.”

Along with the conference side of things, BIGSOUND 2026 will also showcase the BIGSOUND 100 - made up of Australian and New Zealand acts ready to capitalise on the momentum and opportunities offered through the BIGSOUND Artist Hub, Content House, tailored meetings, mentoring and performance schedules.
Artist applications have been extended until 11:59pm Tuesday 7 April, with the full BIGSOUND program to be revealed in July. Those keen to attend will be able to grab early-bird tickets in May, with all the details available at bigsound.org.au.
BIGSOUND is held at Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley precinct and runs from Tuesday 1 September to Friday 4 September. Ticketing and lineup information available at bigsound.org.au.

This marks Fear Factory’s first headline tour of Australia in 10 years.
Fans can expect to hear all their favourite Westlife songs when the boy band hits the country in July next year.
The EP includes the previously released singles ‘Bullsh*t, Baby!’, ‘Punch Drunk Love’ and ‘Faker’.
Tour support comes from Custard, Magic Dirt, The Meanies, Tumbleweed and The Gnomes.
Alan Fletcher is playing two shows in Goolwa and Thebarton this July.
