Just over two weeks out from Adelaide's newest festival on Kaurna Country, Porch & Recreations, organisers have revealed the final artist lineup.
Held at the iconic Burnside Ballroom on Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, Porch & Recreations comes from the mind of Porch Records’ founder, Sharni Honor.
The new additions to the lineup are some of the state’s best artists: multi-talented bandleader and drummer Alexander Flood, who just dropped his latest album, ARTIFACTUAL RHYTHM; psychedelic rockers Druid Fluids; Filipino-Australian storyteller Kara Manansala; and four-piece jazz ensemble Shodashi.
They join a stacked bill headlined by a DJ set from experimental UK duo Mount Kimbie, acclaimed Indigenous singer and songwriter Emma Donovan, cinematic groovers Surprise Chef and wistful vocalist and songwriter Grace Cummings. Also taking to the stage across the two days are soul musician Ella Thompson and Cool Sounds, the latest project from Dainis Lacey.
For those downtimes between sets, Porch Records have curated a phenomenal lineup of local spinners including Medhi, Nantale, Danvers, Ash-Dente, Troy J Been, Wet Weather Policy, Hashmish, Daybed Records and Sink.
Single-day and weekend tickets are on sale via porchrecords.com.au.

Along with all the sensational music to experience, Porch & Recreation also boasts a smorgasbord of local food and beverage offerings. Organisers have handpicked local artisans, with food by Greg Lay of Wild Woodfired and Daniel Gill of Braising Boy, and cold bevies supplied by Hither & Yon wine, Tops beer and Brighter Later Gin, with many more on the day.
Considering Proch Records started off slinging vinyl, it makes sense to have a pop-up record store where you can grab records of the artists performing, along with crates overflowing with vinyl spanning funk, soul and jazz.
Porch & Recreation is shaping up as a wonderful community event with a focus on music, friends and good times in one of Adelaide’s most exquisite venues.
Porch & Recreation takes place at Burnside Ballroom on Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1. Tickets on sale now via humanitix.com.
