One of the great rock acts to emerge from the ‘00s Aussie indie scene, End of Fashion are getting the band back together for a special anniversary tour celebrating their 2005 self-titled debut album.
The news comes as the ARIA winners also revealed the album, which spawned the hit single ‘O Yeah’, will be reissued as a double LP (pre-order here) with coloured vinyl, archive artwork, a never-before-released lyric sheet, and a collage of fan-submitted photos. The first disc contains a remastered version of the original album, while the second is jam-packed with rare demos, B-sides and unheard singles.
“When we made this album, we never dreamed it would still mean so much to people 20 years later,” reflects vocalist and guitarist Justin Burford. “That’s a real gift for us and we wanted to give something back. We put this re-issue together with a lot of love — and a lot of memories...our own and most importantly, the fans. Which is why we got them involved. This is as much theirs as it is ours. To have this out in the world again, on vinyl, with all this amazing material from the archives that we never thought would see the light of day, feels really special.”
End of Fashion are also embarking on their first Australian tour in almost a decade, performing their self-titled debut in full along with a selection of fan favourites.
“There’s a lot of history in this album, and a lot of love too,” Burford adds. “We still feel that love and it’s a huge privilege to be able to hit the road and share that with the fans. I really feel like this tour is going to be something special. Not only do we get to celebrate the past, we also get to show what’s coming next. I think people will love it!”
The five-date anniversary tour begins at Brisbane’s The Brightside on Friday, August 15, and continues with gigs at Crowbar in Sydney on Saturday, August 16, The Night Cat in Melbourne on Friday, August 22 and Jive in Adelaide on Saturday, August 23, before End of Fashion wrap things up at The Rosemount in Perth on Saturday, August 30.
Fan pre-sale starts Wednesday, May 28 at 9:30am local time, with general on-sale commencing Thursday, May 29 at 9:30am local time. For ticketing information visit end-of-fashion.com.

Originally the side project of Sleepy Jackson guitarists Justin Burford and Rodney Aravena, together with drummer Malcolm Clark and bassist Jonathon Dudman, End of Fashion helped define the national indie scene during the early ‘00s.
End of Fashion’s debut peaked at #3 on the ARIA Album Chart and spawned the singles ‘O Yeah’, ‘Lock Up Your Daughters’, ‘She’s Love’ and ‘The Game’. They followed up with Book of Lies (featuring radio smash ‘Fussy’) and Holiday Trip of a Lifetime, before going on hiatus in 2010.
Briefly reuniting in 2016, End of Fashion have been mainly dormant for the past decade but are excited to return to the live stage and perform for fans nationwide.
