Stylish Sydneysider Donny Benét is bringing his post-disco productions to Australian audiences this winter as part of his Don Benét Live ‘25 Australian Tour.
Benét’s only local shows of the year see the ‘Konichiwa’ singer performing both solo and with a band in six capital cities across the nation this July and August.
“Australia! Very excited to announce our Live ‘25 tour of Australia!” Benét revealed on social media. “I seem to always be on an endless cycle of International touring, but it always gives me great joy to get the opportunity to play at home! We’ll be hitting a whole bunch of cities this time (in 2 formats) and look forward to returning to a few places I haven’t been for years!”
The first three dates of the tour feature Benét on stage with a live band and support from singer-songwriter Elena Stone. These shows take place at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Friday, July 11, Brisbane’s The Triffid on Saturday, July 12 and Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Saturday, July 19.
The final three gigs are solo performances at Hobart’s Republic Bar on Saturday, July 26, Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Friday, September 26 and Perth’s Rosemount Hotel on Saturday, September 27.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via donnybenet.com.

Getting his start playing in jazz bands around Sydney, along with a stint in Jack Ladder's band The Dreamlanders, Benét embraced his European roots and went solo in the mid-00s, releasing his ‘80s-inspired synth debut, Don't Hold Back, in 2011.
Benét has gone on to release a further five albums, with his most recent being last year’s Infinite Desire. In a review of the album, Everything Is Noise wrote, “Donny Benét has crafted a warm, nostalgic blanket of glittery disco and grooving funk that’s an absolute treat for the ears.”
A big hit in Europe, Benét spends much of his time on the road touring, with the moustachioed sex symbol performing in Europe throughout May and June before returning home for his Australian dates.
