Rising electro pop artist Djanaba has teamed up with Gadigal-based electronic producer Hylander for her new single ‘Buster’.

Following the release of her previous single ‘Big Titties (Little Titties)’, a reworking of her hit ‘Bit Titties’ with Beks, ‘Buster’ is a sugary electro-pop in the mould of fellow Aussie superstars Confidence Man. This is the type of song you want to hear in a packed club and just let loose.

On the process of crafting the track with Hylander, Djanaba shares, “After a long-ass work day, I pulled up to the studio late, exhausted, and with zero time to waste. Hylander played the track, and the second it hit, I jumped on the mic. The ideas just poured out.”

She continues, “I’ve been wanting to write a song that captures how little patience I have left for men who do the bare minimum, breathe, and somehow still expect more than the women doing twice the work. This song is my way of calling that behaviour out for what it is - and calling those men exactly what they are: DIRTY LITTLE DOGS.”

On working with Djanaba, Hylander says, “I went into this wanting to create something fun & colourful with a strong dance element. I brought Djanaba in to take a look at the idea and she started laying down the hook on the first listen. I love that this song presents a fun/cute aesthetic with subversive lyrics that give an entirely different meaning if you really listen."

Since breaking out with ‘Big Titties’ last year, Djanaba has released the EP Stutter and her debut album, Did I Stutter?.

Garnering over 1 million streams, Djanaba, a proud Queer Bundjalung woman, continues to break down walls with her contemporary pop productions.

Having played Spilt Milk, Listen Out and Beyond The Valley and worked in the studio with Nick Littlemore, next month’s upcoming Laneway Festival (set times here) performances give Aussie audiences the chance to catch Djanaba in the flesh and discover why she is being heralded as the next big thing.

‘Buster’ by Djanaba and Hylander is out now. Listen here. Catch Djanaba performing at Adelaide Showgrounds as part of Laneway Festival 2026 on Saturday 14 February. Tickets on sale via ticketek.com.au.
