UK MC Dirty Dike is bringing his talents to Australia and New Zealand this June/July as part of The Golden Lobster Tour.
First finding fame back in 2011 with the release of his Constand Dikester album, which included the popular single ‘Hi I’m James’, Dike has continued to release music regularly while gaining a reputation for his boisterous live shows.
“Excited to announce I’m coming to Australia & New Zealand this June/July for the full pelt magical ‘Golden lobster tour’,” Dike commented on Instagram. “Expect complete and utter carnage & chaos from start to finish. Secure your entry immediately.”
A mainstay of the underground hip hop scene in the UK, Dirty Dike can’t wait to get to Australia and New Zealand. Kicking things off at Boorloo/Perth’s Jack Rabbit Slims on Thursday, June 19, Dike continues with gigs at Tarntanya/Adelaide’s UniBar Adelaide on Friday, June 20 and Eora/Sydney’s Mary’s Underground on Saturday, June 21.
He’s then off to New Zealand for three shows at Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland’s Neck of the Woods on Thursday, June 26, Ōtautahi/Christchurch’s Wunderbar on Friday, June 27 and Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington’s Meow on Saturday, June 28.
Returning to Australia on Thursday, July 3, for a show at The Brightside in Meanjin/Brisbane, Dirty Dike wraps things up with performances at Nipaluna/Hobart’s Republic Bar on Friday, July 4 and Naarm/Melbourne’s Max Watts on Saturday, July 5.

One of the founders of High Focus Records, Dirty Dike has been at the forefront of the UK’s underground hip hop scene for over 15 years. He’s released nine albums during that time, with his most recent being 2023’s well-received Mattress.
Having collaborated with the likes of Rag‘n’Bone Man, Pete Cannon, Lee Scott and more, Dike has an eager fanbase who delight in his high-energy live shows, demonstrating his humorous but often poignant wordplay.
