Taiwanese Buddhist Death Metal Act Dharma Plot 2025 Australian Tour

After thrilling audiences on their first tour of Australia last year, playing at Adelaide’s Froth & Fury Fest and supporting Dutch death metal band Pestilence in Melbourne, Taiwanese Buddhist death metal act Dharma have announced a fully fledged Australian tour.
Combining traditional Buddhist sutras with the modern style of death metal, Dharma have taken the world by storm with their unique heavy sound.
Dharma’s Australian tour kicks off in Melbourne at The Evelyn Hotel on Friday 12 September alongside Alarum, In Malice's Wake and The Absolution Sequence. The band then take to the stage at Southern Death Fest in Adelaide on Saturday 13 September, Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge on Wednesday 17 September with Uada, Malignant Aura and Graveir and Sydney’s Infernos Rock Room on Friday 19 September with Anoxia, ASHEN and Complexant. The final show of the tour takes place as part of Blacken Open Air in Alice Springs on Saturday 20 September.

Founded by drummer Jack Tung and guitarist Andy Lin, Dharma replicates Buddhist mantras set to a soundtrack of crunching riffs and pummelling drumming.
The band consists of Tung, Lin, vocalist Joe Henley, bassist Bull Tsai and guitarist Jon Chang.
The band have released two albums, Treasury Of The True Dharma Eye正法眼藏 (2021) and
Three Thousand Realms in a Single Thought Moment 一念三千 (2022), and gained a reputation for their energetic live performances.
