Known for their brutal riffs and blending of extreme metal with neo-classical precision, Archspire live shows are an immersive experience, with the band often pulling punters on stage to compete in drinking competitions and other fun and games.
Taking to social media to announce the tour, the band wrote: “THIS JANUARY we'll be RETURNING TO PRISON ISLAND 🇦🇺 with our friends in @abortedmetal and @organectomy!!! We'll probably even be playing some NEW MUSIC, so if you have two brain cells to rub together, you'll be buying your tickets IMMEDIATELY!!! Tickets are on sale RIGHT NOW so stop reading this and get to work!!!”
The Vancouver band’s Return To Prison Island Tour kicks off at Froth & Fury Fest in Perth on Saturday 24 January and continues with shows at Melbourne’s The Croxton (Tuesday 27 January), Brisbane’s The Triffid (Wednesday 28 January), Canberra’s The Baso (Thursday 29 January) and Sydney’s Liberty Hall (Friday 30 January), with their final appearance coming at Froth & Fury in Adelaide on Saturday 31 January.

Archspire have been deafening audiences with their brand of brutal technical death metal for close to two decades.
Over that time, they’ve released four albums, including 2021’s Juno Award–winning Bleed the Future, which Metal Injection said “hits new levels of dizzying technicality mixed with the band’s ability to make the most complicated riffs sound catchy.”
The current lineup of Dean Lamb (guitar), Tobi Morelli (guitar), Oli Peters (vocals), Jared Smith (bass) and Spencer Moore (drums) have been working on the fifth Archspire record and looks forward to previewing new tracks from the release when they touchdown in Australia next year.
Catch Archspire at Froth & Fury Fest 2026 in Adelaide on Saturday 31 January. Tickets on sale now via moshtix.com.au.
