David Gray Plots ‘Past & Present’ Australian Tour 2025
The British singer-songwriter will perform songs from his new album, Dear Life, along with a curated set of fan favourites.

British singer-songwriter David Gray has revealed he’s bringing his Past & Present World Tour to Australian shores in November.
The tour announcement arrives after the release of Gray’s 13th studio album, Dear Life, which dropped in January. Critically praised, Gray released the album via his own label, Laugh A Minute Records, in partnership with Secretly Distribution. The album finds Gray reuniting with producer Ben de Vries for arguably his strongest collection of songs yet.
Taking the album on the road, Gray has a 22-date North American tour booked followed by performances across the UK, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark before finally arriving in Australia.
Fans can expect a two-hour live show of cuts from Gray’s new album along with classic tunes from his stacked discography, such as ‘My Oh My’, ‘Babylon’, ‘Please Forgive Me’, ‘Sail Away’ and many more.
The multi-platinum, multi-BRIT, and GRAMMY-nominated artist’s Past & Present tour begins at Perth’s Riverside Theatre on Tuesday, November 4. Gray then performs at Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre on Friday, November 7, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Sunday, November 9 and Sydney’s State Theatre on Wednesday, November 12, before wrapping things up at Brisbane’s QPAC Concert Hall on Saturday, November 15.

A multi-million selling arena artist whose 2000 album White Ladder topped the UK Album Chart, Gray first began working on Dear Life in 2019 before COVID-19 derailed the project.
After touring the globe celebrating the 20th anniversary of White Ladder, Gray bunkered down in his makeshift Norfolk studio to continue Dear Life, crafting an introspective album touching on love, heartbreak, faith and mortality.
“I’m feeling very joyful about the act of making and sharing this music – and privileged to be doing so,” Gray said in a statement. “I don’t know what people will make of it. But I have the same hopes and dreams whenever I release a record – that if you try and do something special, then maybe something magical will happen in return.”
