Sad news for Daniel Seavey fans, with the multi-platinum singer-songwriter, instrumentalist and producer forced to reschedule his upcoming Second Wind tour of Australia.
Originally set to take place in June, Seavey is now touring in August as advised by his doctor after suffering a vocal injury. He outlined all this in a statement you can read below:
“Hey guys, I got some pretty tough news yesterday. My doctor has ordered me to go on another 3 weeks of vocal rest to ensure that this problem completely resolves and never returns, which means I have to push back my shows in Australia and New Zealand a couple weeks.
“I am so beyond devastated by the outcome of all of this and am so terribly sorry to everyone I am letting down.”
While unfortunate, the good news is Seavey is still making the trip Down Under, with the tour now commencing in Melbourne at the Forum on Tuesday, August 5. Seavey then performs at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Wednesday, August 6, Brisbane’s Eastons Hill Hotel on Friday, August 8, and Adelaide’s AEC Theatre on Sunday, August 10, before bringing things to an end at Perth’s Rechabite on Tuesday, August 12.
Tickets for all five concerts are on sale now via teglive.com.au.

Seavey, a former American Idol contestant best known for the hit singles ‘Can We Pretend That We're Good?’ and ‘I Tried’, returns to our shores after supporting Dean Lewis last year.
During his time in Australia, Seavey quickly became a fan favourite, leading to him announcing a one-off gig in Sydney that sold out in just two hours!
The rising artist is touring in support of his debut album, Second Wind. The record is 12 tracks of contemporary pop that includes the title track ‘Second City’, a collab with writer and producer Michael Pollack (Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber).
After cutting his UK and European short due to his vocal injury, Seavey is currently back home recuperating and can’t wait to get back to Australia this August.
Catch Daniel Seavey at AEC Theatre on Sunday, August 10. Tickets on sale now via teglive.com.au.
