Austin-based outfit Culture Wars head down under in December for a run of four headline shows.

Rising high after the release of their debut album Don’t Speak, the five-piece rock and rollers are one of the most exciting acts to come out of the Austin scene in the past couple of years.

The band’s '90s-inspired sound has captured music lovers’ attention, with singles ‘Don’t Speak’, ‘Bittersweet’ and ‘Tokyo’ quickly becoming fan favourites.

Culture Wars’ Aussie tour takes in Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory (Wednesday 9 December), Melbourne’s Corner Hotel (Thursday 10 December), Sydney’s Metro Theatre (Saturday 12 December) and Brisbane’s The Triffid (Sunday 13 December).

Artist and Live Nation pre-sale runs from 10am AEST Wednesday 20 May to 9am AEST Friday 22 May, followed by general on-sale at 10am AEST Friday 22 May via livenation.com.au.

It’s been over 10 years since Culture Wars formed after drummer David Grayson met vocalist Alex Dugan. Adding guitarists Caleb Contreras and Josh Stirm and bassist Dillon Randolph, the band released their debut EP teche in 2021.

Inspired by the likes of The Strokes, Kings of Leon, U2 and Oasis, Culture Wars’ Don’t Speak has been a long time coming, but well worth the wait, setting up the band as ones to watch over the next 12 months.

Catch Culture Wars at Lion Arts Factory on Wednesday 9 December. Ticketing information is available at livenation.com.au.
