After dropping her fourth studio album Creature of Habit last week, LA-based Aussie Courtney Barnett has announced an East Coast tour.
The singer-songwriter’s latest album was written in the wake of her move from Melbourne to Los Angeles and grapples with how she has dealt with the change in scenery and what lies ahead for her career.
Barnett’s first solo record since 2021’s critically acclaimed Things Take Time, Take Time, Creature of Habit features 10 tracks and has received glowing reviews, with Pop Matters calling it “No frills, no fuss; just rock. It’s the perfect throwback to grunge and indie, earmarking a no-nonsense, heartfelt barrel of songs.”
While news of an Aussie tour is great, sadly Adelaide fans miss out, with Barnett performing only three gigs in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
Her whirlwind tour kicks off at The Tivoli in Brisbane on Wednesday 4 November and is followed by shows at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall in Sydney on Friday 6 November and the Palais Theatre in Melbourne on Saturday 7 November.
Frontier member pre-sale runs for 47 hours from 9am AEDT on Wednesday 8 April, or until pre-sale allocation is exhausted. Sign up here. General on-sale takes place 9am AEDT on Friday 10 April via frontiertouring.com.
