Jay Forster, Mike Hill and Justin Sweeting were the brains behind the first edition of Clockenflap in 2008. Their mission was to help foster a supportive Hong Kong music scene, with Clockenflap allowing local artists to perform alongside established acts.
Since then, the festival has gone from a small concrete space attracting a crowd of 1,500 to Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront Event Space, with more than 60,000 attendees.
The 2024 festival featured performances by Air, Jack White, Central Cee, St. Vincent, Glass Animals and many more.
