Adelaide’s beloved folk collective Bromham return with buoyant new single ‘Life Is Long’.
Accompanied by a music video shot live in the studio, the track is a joyous five and a half minutes of rollicking folk rock, complete with brass section and melodic riffs, and is written for anyone contemplating a big life decision.
“We wrote this at a time when a lot of people around us were finishing chapters and facing uncertainty,” Bromham’s Dave Thompson reveals. “It’s easy for self-doubt to freeze you thinking ‘I’m too old’ or ‘I’m not ready’. We wanted to remind each other there’s always time and space for new passions and adventures. We were inspired by people who’ve bravely started again in every season of life.”
‘Life Is Long’ also hints at a new direction from Bromham, with the band pairing contemplative lyrics with a more upbeat contemporary folk pop sound.
