Rising Sydney heavy rockers Bloom have announced a national tour ahead of the release of their eagerly anticipated sophomore album, The Light We Chase, which arrives this Friday 31 October via Pure Noise Records (pre-order here).
The album follows the band’s 2024 debut record Maybe In Another Life, with press material calling the release “a multi-faceted and matured collection of songs… that straddles shoegaze, grunge and dreampop, bone-rattling heaviness and lashings of authentic emotion.”
The Light We Chase is also the group’s first release to feature guest vocalists, with Movements' Patrick Miranda, Yours Truly's Mikaila Delgado and Void Of Vision's Jack Bergin all appearing.
Bloom’s 2026 tour in support of the album sees them playing eight dates with support from American rockers Avoid.
The tour commences with two gigs in Queensland at Brisbane’s Crowbar on Wednesday 11 February and Gold Coast’s Mo’s Desert Clubhouse on Friday 13 February. Bloom then plays Newcastle’s Hamilton Station Hotel on Saturday 14 February, Sydney’s Crowbar on Sunday 15 February, Wollongong’s Dicey Rileys on Tuesday 17 February, Melbourne’s Max Watts on Wednesday 18 February and Frankston’s Pelly Bar on Friday 20 February, finishing up in Adelaide at Lion Arts Factory on Saturday 21 February.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale at 9am AEST on Tuesday 28 October. Register for access here. General on-sale commences at 9am AEST on Thursday 30 October via destroyalllines.com.

Bursting onto the heavy music scene in 2020 with their EP In Passing, Bloom have slowly established themselves as one of the country’s most exciting acts.
A slew of well-received singles and live performances culminated in the release of their hotly anticipated 2024 debut album, Maybe in Another Life. Produced by Christopher Vernon (Better Half, Belle Haven, Future Static), the album received glowing reviews, with Hysteria Mag calling it “a dynamic debut album” and Wall of Sound awarding Maybe in Another Life ten out of ten.
Festival slots at UNIFY Gathering and CVLTFEST have only amplified Bloom’s stature amongst the Aussie metal scene, with the band currently supporting Thornhill and Ocean Grove in the UK and Europe before heading stateside and playing with Silverstein on their 25 Years of Noise Tour, which also features Thursday and Free Throw.
