Bloc Party are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their iconic debut album, Silent Alarm, with a deluxe box set arriving September 26.
Originally released in February 2025, Silent Album was the breakthrough album for Bloc Party, landing at #3 on the UK Album Chart and producing hit singles ‘Helicopter’, ‘Positive Tension’ and ‘Two More Years’.
The record received rave reviews and pushed Bloc Party to the forefront of the UK indie scene. It remains a classic of the genre and is deservedly getting the reissue treatment.
The definitive deluxe edition includes four vinyls – the first two contain the original album, the third features a collection of 12 B-sides and rarities, while the fourth LP contains Bloc Party’s legendary John Peel session for BBC Radio 1, along with seven original demos that have never been released.
The box set also comes with a 24-page booklet with a foreword by Paul Epworth (the album’s producer) that features never-before-seen personal photos of the band and exclusive liner notes.
There will also be a 2LP and a 2CD edition of the album available. Pre-order your copy here.
