GUMBOOT – 2022 EP
Experimental ambient and electronica artist GUMBOOT release their debut EP titled 2022 EP, bringing together a trio of ethereal tracks that induce a sense of nostalgia amongst jarring static and textural pads. The first song ‘mistakes’ takes the listener down a rabbit hole, interplaying between drawn-out chord stabs and slow hypnotic risers. Track two ‘lights’ introduces angelic background vocals amongst off-kilter drum hits, and the final song ‘excess’ positions broken breakbeats against eerily melancholic synths. This is right up your alley if you’re a fan of artists like Caretaker and Malibu.
