beabadoobee Announces Fourth Studio Album & Shares New Single ‘Sun Has Set’

Pylon is named after the electricity towers that dot the horizon and remind beabadoobee of the connection with family and friends while she’s touring.

Filipino English singer-songwriter beabadoobee has revealed her fourth studio album, Pylon, is arriving later this year on Friday 18 September via Dirty Hit and Interscope Records.

Following 2024’s This Is How Tomorrow Moves, which made it to #1 on the UK Albums Chart and debuted at #6 on the ARIA Albums Chart, beabadoobee’s new album is named after the electricity towers that remind Beatrice Laus of her connection to friends and family at home while she’s been touring the world.

The album acts as a diary for beabadoobee, with the first single, ‘Sun Has Set’, a sublime guitar-heavy alternative thriller with a pop-punk chorus reminiscent of Paramore at their prime.

“A lot of the songs on this record are things I wish I could have said to someone,” she says. “This song has this petty tunnel vision—it’s like, I hate you. You’re gonna stay here and listen to how much I hate you. Because I never got to say that.”

‘Sun Has Set is accompanied by a first-person video directed by beabadoobee’s partner and longtime visual collaborator, Jake Erland.

Speaking of Paramore, Hayley Williams pops up on ‘Nothing to Prove’, while. Turnstile singer Brendan Yates lends his vocals to the moody ‘Powerlines’. Pylon also features contributions from Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall, Deftones’ Chino Moreno and Title Fight’s Shane Moran, as well as The 1975’s Matty Healy and George Daniel, who produced the track ‘Write Me A Letter’.

beabadoobee will also hit the road on her biggest tour yet, playing arena shows across North America, the UK and Europe from July to December.

The tour includes stops at iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, and The O2 Arena.

Fingers crossed an Australian tour is on the cards, and we get the chance to see beabadoobee headline her own tour next year.
