Adelaide prog rockers Dyssidia have shared new single ‘Impulsivity’, the second taste of their upcoming album Deeper Wells Of Meaning, out November 28 via Wild Thing Records (pre-order/pre-save here).
A violent journey through crunching riffs and pounding double bass kicks, ‘Impulsivity’ is a technical masterclass that veers into heavy metal territory.
Speaking about the track, Dyssidia guitarist Corey Davis says, “‘Impulsivity’ was a track that came together in a really visceral and organic way. It felt like an epic sonic journey to send off the end of the album, especially with its emotive and powerful outro, in classic Dyssidia style.”
‘Impulsivity’ follows first single ‘Serum Sickness’, which was warmly received by the metal community.
Co-produced with Sam Vallen (Caligula’s Horse), mixed by Vallen, and mastered by V. Santura, Dyssidia’s new album pushes boundaries, with Deeper Wells Of Meaning described in press material as “weaving crushing intricacy and raw vulnerability into a singular, immersive experience.”
Dyssidia are excited to launch the album with a special hometown show at Jive on Saturday 13 December. Not only will Dyssidia perform tracks from their new release, but they’ll be supported by a stack of awesome artists, with Brisbane’s Balkan progressive metal outfit Adriatic sharing the stage with Dyssidia alongside local support acts Wings of Thanatos and Kuiper.
