Sydney artist management, touring company and tastemakers Astral People are branching out into the festival world with the announcement of Move My Way.
A community-focused event taking over the first weekend of October at Eora/Sydney’s Carriageworks and Naarm/Melbourne’s PICA, the two distinct sites will be reimagined into a multi-stage playground headlined by Ezra Collective, Freddie Gibbs, Kokoroko and Sampa the Great.
The diverse lineup is grounded in comfort, connection and community, with a global sound showcase that also features performances from London-based singer and producer Qendresa, playful singer and percussionist team GENA (Liv.e & Karriem Riggins), Eora/Sydney-based visionary xmunashe, Tokyo-born multi-instrumentalist and DJ Takuya Nakamura, Melbourne-based Aboriginal and Fijian rapper and producer Miles Nautu and many more.
Each city also highlights an iconic local crew curating their own space, with the record label, promoter and resident Club 77 partner Planet Trip setting up shop in Sydney, and Fitzroy icon Northside Records making its presence felt in Melbourne.
