Less than two weeks out from this year’s Semaphore Summer Film Festival, organisers Moviejuice – an Adelaide-based film collective – have revealed Any Young Mechanic will perform a special gig on the night.
Fresh from the release of their new single ‘Snug Barber’, the band will take to the stage on Saturday 31 January and bring the day of moviegoing to a spectacular end.
This year’s Semaphore Summer Film Festival program includes cinematic classics, new restorations and microbudget masterpieces across two screens at the Odeon Star Cinema.
Highlights include Studio Ghibli favourite Ponyo, the ‘70s surf flick Big Wednesday, and the premiere of The Next Time You Feel Important, directed by moviejuicer Gabe Bath.
Individual tickets for all sessions are available, but for those looking to make a day of it, three-film and six-film passes are also available. Head to semaphoresummerfest.org and grab yours now.
