Man of the moment Alex Warren has revealed his sophomore album WILDCHILD is set for release ahead of his upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand later this year.
Following last year’s record-breaking smash hit debut You’ll Be Alright Kid, Warren’s next release is another deeply personal collection of songs exploring loss, grief and the journey he’s been on since the death of his father.
“Growing up, my dad used to call me Wildchild, so it’s always had a special meaning, and I even have it tattooed on me,” says Warren. “Creating this album was really healing, therapeutic and a way for me to continue finding out more about myself. This album really shows where I am in my life today, and compared to my first album, which feels like a man who is broken, this one is a man who's trying to heal. It’s been really nice to be able to confront those feelings and also be able to share them with the world to give everyone a transparent view into my life.”
Having already shared the singles ‘FINE PLACE TO DIE’ and ‘FEVER DREAM’, Warren has given fans another taste of the album in the form of ‘PASSENGER’, a rousing summer anthem written by Warren and produced by Adam Yaron with a music video directed by Blythe Thomas.
