Adelaide favourite aleksiah has released her anticipated sophomore EP, Cry About It, as she embarks on her five-date Australian tour.
The five-track release includes the previously released singles ‘Batsh*t’, ‘Clothes Off’ and ‘The Hit’, alongside two new tracks, ‘Keep My Cool’ and ‘Cold’. The EP contains production from Melbourne duo Cry Club, ARIA winner Chris Collins, Beso Palma and Konstantin Kersting.
Taking to social media to announce the release, alekisah described the EP as “a bridge between two worlds” and “a big catalyst in helping me discover what kind of music I love making, and helping me not be so self-conscious about problems I rly struggle with!!”
She continued, “It was a big stepping stone for me musically and personally. It also has one of the first songs I ever wrote as “aleksiah” on it, ‘Cold’, which is so fun to look back on those lyrics and remember who I wrote it about hehe.
“Thank you so so much for giving this EP the love u have, esp ‘Clothes Off’ and ‘The Hit’. You single handedly have helped shaped all of my music going forward and I hope u know that. Special thanks to all of these lovely people in which this record wouldn’t have been possible.”

Cry About It arrives as aleksiah is in the midst of her national tour in support of the EP. Having played to huge crowds in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, the singer-songwriter has two more shows left.
aleksiah takes over Brisbane’s Black Bear Lounge on Saturday, July 19, before bringing the tour to an end with what promises to be one hell of a party in her hometown of Adelaide at Lion Arts Factory on Friday, August 15.

Once she’s wrapped up her headline tour, alekisah heads back to the UK in November for shows with Fickle Friends. She returns to Australia in December as a support act for country star Kelsea Ballerini.
