Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival 2026 was a huge hit, with over 10,000 punters attending the event’s new home at The Drive over the weekend.
Cementing its postion as one of Adelaide’s favourite winter weekends, more than 40 brewers from around Australia drained hundreds of kegs, while pitmasters dished out over 250 briskets, thousands of pork “lollipops” and a tonne of chicken wings across three sessions.
Then there was the music, with more than 20 Aussie and international acts performing across two nights and the Silent Disco DJs keeping the party pumping late into the evening.
TISM headlined the opening night and put on one hell of a performance that won’t be forgotten anytime soon, with support from beloved US indie rocker Ben Kweller, playing Adelaide for the first time in 14 years, and ‘90s icons Ratcat and The Mavis’ also taking to the stage.
Saturday saw Riot City Wrestling take centre stage, The Wings World How Wing competition creating a buzz and Ant from SURE Brewing taking out back-to-back wins as part of the festival’s famous Beer Bod contest.
The evening saw punk rockers Tropical Fuck Storm, Sydney hardcore beasts SPEED, Aussie legend Tim Rogers and the always captivating Kirin J. Callinan put on a weird but memorable performance.

“It’s heartening to see Adelaide turn out and take a punt on a new era for this festival,” says Gareth Lewis, Beer & BBQ Festival co-director.
“It exists to put great beer in the hands of as many punters as possible, and it looks like it was a thirsty bunch. Turning a tennis court into a playground for adults may be the most idiotic thing we’ve done in 11 years of Beer & BBQ Festival, but it felt like home.”
Leone Catalano of Melbourne’s Leon’s Smash Burgers added, “Thank you so much Adelaide. We all had a blast, you guys looked after so well, and we really can’t wait to come back.”
