28 Days was formed in 1997 by OG members Jay Dunne (vocals), Simon Hepburn (guitar) and Damian Gardiner (bass).
While their self-titled debut album didn’t make waves commercially, critics praised the release, with tracks from follow-up EP Kid Indestructible making it on to triple j.
Things changed in 2000 with the release of their sophomore record album, Upstyledown. Not only did it debut at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, but the album spawned their biggest hit, ‘Rip It Up’, which made it all the way to #6 on the ARIA Singles Chart.
28 Days went on to release two more studio albums before going on hiatus in 2007. Despite the lack of new material, the band have continued to perform live sporadically over the past decade, with their upcoming tour a fantastic way to pay tribute to the 28 Days’ three-decade career.
