The Northern Territory’s biggest music festival, BASSINTHEGRASS, returns to Darwin’s Mindil Beach on Saturday 16 May 2026, with an absolutely stacked lineup.

After the initial lineup announcement, organisers have revealed a wave of new international and national acts taking to the stage over the day, with American rapper Denzel Curry and Swedish electronic act Galantis added to the bill.

If that’s not enough to get you excited, Melbourne bogan punk outfit Playlunch, electronic DJ Ninajirachi, hip hop artist Kobie Dee and rockabilly‑punk legends The Living End are all performing at this year’s event.

The Living End lead singer Chris Cheney said the band was excited to be heading back to the Top End.

“Can’t believe it’s been 12 years since the last time we played BASSINTHEGRASS, can’t wait to come back and blast through some tracks from our brand-new album I Only Trust Rock n Roll along with all the old faves, see yas soon Darwin,” said Cheney.

This year’s festival features more than 20 artists performing across multiple stages at Darwin’s Mindil Beach, with general admission tickets currently $135 for a limited time, before increasing to $155. For tickets and the full lineup, visit bassinthegrass.com.au.
