triple j’s beloved festival One Night Stand is getting ready to hit the road again in 2026. The regional festival will take place in one lucky town in Australia this September with a stacked lineup of incredible Aussie talent.
So which town gets to host One Night Stand? As revealed on triple j Drive with Abby & Tyrone yesterday, that decision is entirely up to you!
If you want your hometown to be in with a chance of landing triple j’s One Night Stand, all you need to do is head here and submit a pitch telling the triple j crew what makes your town so special and how an event like One Night Stand will impact the youth of your community.

Last year’s One Night Stand took place in Busselton in WA’s south west and featured the likes of Spacey Jane, Ruby Fields, 3% and more.
triple j said 98% of attendees told them the event would make them more likely to seek out new Australian music, while One Night Stand injected more than $1.5 million into the local economy. $230,000 was also raised for music industry charities Support Act and The Push, along with local charity partners.

One Night Stand has been going for more than 20 years, with the first festival taking place in 2004 at Natimuk in Victoria with a lineup including Grinspoon, The Dissociatives, Koolism, Eskimo Joe and Less Than Perfection.
Since then, the event has travelled all across the country and taken place in towns including Port Pirie, Dubbo, St Helens and Warrnambool, with artists including Flume, G Flip, Vance Joy, Spacey Jane and Thelma Plum performing to thousands of people.
A true showcase of Australian music, entries to host this year’s One Night Stand are now open.
