After originally leaving South Australia off his upcoming Moonlit Deck Australian tour, Tim Freedman has announced two shows in the Festival State.
The Whitlams frontman is now beginning his tour with gigs at Adelaide’s Trinity Sessions on Friday, February 7 and Aldinga’s Big Easy Radio on Saturday, February 8.
The existing gigs include five dates in New South Wales, three in Western Australia and one in Queensland.
The career-spanning shows will feature Freedman performing classic tracks by The Whitlams, with the Aussie singer-songwriter also sharing stories about his time in the music business and the meaning behind some of his best known songs.
Fans can expect to hear all the hits, including ‘Blow Up the Pokies’ and ‘No Aphrodisiac’, alongside lesser known tracks and album deep cuts, including songs from The Whitlams Black Stump album, Kookaburra.

Freedman’s solo tour comes after The Whitlams just completed a tour of the country celebrating the 25th anniversary of their album, Love This City. The band performed the album in full alongside a set of greatest hits songs.
Along with touring, 2024 saw The Whitlams release the album Kookaburra under the alias The Whitlams Black Stump. The project is a country iteration of The Whitlams, with the album featuring country variations of the group’s biggest hits along with new compositions.
