Iconic South Australian rockers The Zep Boys have been nominated for Adelaide Festival Centre’s prestigious Walk of Fame.
The Zep Boys have been put forward for their Zeppelin Soars Again concert, which was produced by Mario Maiolo Promotions and featured the band performing with the 35-piece Kashmir Orchestra.
Led by charismatic frontman Vince Contarino, The Zep Boys have conquered the world with their incredible live concerts, playing the classic catalogue of legendary British rock group Led Zeppelin.
Three stars are added to the Walk of Fame each year – two are chosen by the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust and a panel of arts critics, and the third goes to a public vote.
The band join 13 other performers shortlisted for the Public Choice vote, including Miriam Margolyes for her Oh Miriam! Live! Tour, American jazz legend Herbie Hancock for his sold-out show Herbie Hancock, and Justine Clark for her portrayal of Julia Gillard in State Theatre Company South Australia’s production of Julia.
Other artists nominated include Dan Sultan, Missy Higgins, Koh Chieng Mun and Chris Pitman. You can check out the full list of nominees here.
Voting is open now until Thursday, May 15, via adelaidefestivalcentre.com.au.
