The Whitlams Announce 2026 Orchestral Australian Tour
The Whitlams team up with the country’s best symphony orchestras for a run of shows next year.

The Whitlams’ upcoming Melbourne gigs with an orchestra have proved so popular that the ‘90s legends have announced a full-scale 2026 orchestral tour of the country.
One of the first bands to embrace orchestral shows in the early ‘00s, The Whitlams took to social media to reveal a run of nine shows will take place from January to June 2026.
“Looking forward to the three MSO shows in two weeks. We are pleased to report that other orchestras have come on board for next year. Save the dates, on sale next month,” the band posted.
The tour gets underway with two concerts in Sydney at the State Theatre with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra on Friday 30 January and Saturday 31 January. The Whitlams then perform alongside the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra at Hobart’s Wrest Point on Friday 27 February, followed by two shows at Brisbane’s QPAC on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 March with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
Then it’s on to Newcastle’s Civic Theatre on Saturday 14 March with the Sydney Philharmonic, Adelaide’s Festival Theatre with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra on Saturday 11 April and Toowoombar’s Epmire Theatre on Saturday 6 June alongside the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra, before the tour wraps at Perth’s Riverside Theatre on Saturday 13 June with The Whitlams sahring the stage with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.

One of the great Australian indie acts, The Whitlams have been out there getting it done for more than 30 years.
Over that time, they’ve released seven studio albums, won three ARIA Awards and performed for audiences across the world.
