Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds have confirmed they are touring Australia and New Zealand in early 2026 in support of their 18th studio album, Wild God.
The band will perform songs from their latest release alongside tracks spanning Cave and co’s four decade career.
“I can’t wait to get to Australia and New Zealand with The Bad Seeds and to bring you our epic Wild God show,” Cave said in a statement. “It’s been a long time coming, and I’ve missed both Australia and New Zealand very much. It will be a wild and mighty joy.”
The Wild God Tour begins in Perth at Fremantle Park on Saturday 17 January, before heading to Adelaide’s AEC Arena on Tuesday 20 January. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds then perform two shows at The Domain in Sydney on Friday 23 January and Saturday 24 January and one show at Brisbane’s Victoria Park on Tuesday 27 January, followed by three gigs in Melbourne’s Alexandra Gardens on Friday 30 January, Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February. Produced by Cave and Warren Ellis and mixed by David Fridmann, Wild God arrived to high praise from critics and fans alike.
The ten track album includes the singles ‘Wild God’, ‘Frogs’ and ‘Long Dark Night’, with The Guardian awarding it an impressive five stars in their review and writing “[this] masterpiece will make you fall back in love with life.”
Cave described the album as “a complicated record, but it’s also deeply and joyously infectious,” adding, “There is never a master plan when we make a record. The records rather reflect back the emotional state of the writers and musicians who played them. Listening to this, I don’t know, it seems we’re happy. There’s no fucking around with this record. When it hits, it hits. It lifts you. It moves you. I love that about it.”
The Wild God Tour has wowed fans across the UK, Europe and North America, with Aussie punters getting the chance to experience the band’s unforgettable live show this coming January and Febraury 2026.
