The Temper Trap Share New Single 'Slide'
The track arrives just three months after the band's fourth studio album, 'Sungazer'.

After a decade in the wilderness, The Temper Trap returned this year with their fourth long player, Sungazer. Now, just three months after the record dropped, the lads have shared new single, 'Slide'.
A shimmering synth rocker, 'Slide' was written during the album sessions and could have easily made the cut.
"'Slide' came together effortlessly at the eleventh hour. The last song we wrote for the record about how silence can become its own form of betrayal," said frontman Dougy Mandagi of the track.

Topping the ARIA Australian Chart, Sungazer has been a triumphant return from The Temper Trap, with the record achieving over 28 million album streams and the anthemic hit single 'Giving Up Air' landing 16 million streams alone and climbing to Top 30 on the US alternative radio chart.
"With time apart and much personal growth from us all, Sungazer feels like it's captured the most pure collection of music we've ever made," The Temper Trap said.
"We had more fun making this record and in the writing room than on any of the previous records we've done. We're in a great place creatively and in our friendships, we're closer than ever. Being back into the studio together really felt like coming home."
This year has also seen the band support Muse on their 24-date North American tour before returning home for a run of sold-out shows.
'Slide' is out now. Listen here.
