The Sharp have also released their brand new EP, 4.

Three decades on since their last live performance, The Sharp have reunited for a new EP and run of shows, including three SA gigs this September.
Founded in Collingwood in 1990, The Sharp consisted of Charlie Rooke (guitar/vocals), Allan Catlin (double bass/vocals) and Piet Collins (drums). The band quickly made a name for themselves thanks to their energetic live performances.
Earning support of local Melbourne radio stations Triple R and PBS, their independent single ‘Love Your Head’ went gangbusters, and it wasn’t long unti triple j caught on.
Landing a record deal with Warner Music, The Sharp dropped their 1993 debut album, This Is The Sharp, and followed it up a year later with Sonic Tripod.
Touring relentlessly across Australia, America and Europe, the travelling eventually took its toll, with The Sharp deciding to go out with a bang in 1995, releasing a greatest hits album, Single File, and performing a final run of shows.
Now, some 30 years later, The Sharp are recharged and ready to go again. Although original member Catlin has stepped away for personal reasons, Scott Owen of The Living End has filled the void, while the addition of vocalist Louie Lee Feltrin has added another layer to the band.

The reformation of The Sharp has resulted in the recording of the quartet’s new EP, 4. Released in May, it features four tracks – three new recordings and a live version of ‘Scratch My Back’.
Recorded at Hot House Studios and engineered and mixed by Kalju Tonuma (The Mavis’s, The Living End, 28 Days), 4 recalls the edgy riffs and compelling hooks of the band’s original work.
If that’s not exciting enough, The Sharp are playing three EP launch shows in South Australia next month. You can catch The Sharp performing tracks from 4 alongside their classic hits at the Ed Castle in Adelaide on Friday 19 September, The Big Easy Radio in Aldinga on Saturday 20 September and the Wheatsheaf Hotel in Thebarton on Sunday 21 September.
