Just one month out from the release of The Rubens' sixth studio album Group Therapy, out Friday 16 October, the indie rockers have shared new single, 'No Champagne'.

Following the previously released 'Goanna', 'Are You Getting High' and 'Love Me America', the five-piece's latest track has a little Americana flowing through its veins and focuses on the feeling of falling out of love with someone.

Singer Sam Margin explains, "The first song written on a recently gifted old 12-string acoustic guitar – and, so far, the only one. 'No Champagne' is an anti-celebration for the end of love: the message has landed, someone is gone, and nobody’s raising a glass. It moves between bruised bravado, dark humour and the desperate instinct to hold on through the night. If this is the only song to come out of that 12-stringed behemoth, it was worth it."

Along with sharing a new song with fans, The Rubens have extended their national tour to now include a total of 24 dates.

Part one of The Rubens tour commences in Sydney at City Recital Hall on Friday 16 October, followed by gigs in Adelaide, Mt Gambier, Coolum, Brisbane, D'Aguilar, Castlemaine, Melbourne, Barwon Heads, Hobart, Forth, Fremantle and Margaret River, wrapping the tour up in Wagga Wagga at Romano's on Saturday 12 December.

The second part of the tour kicks off in 2027 on Friday 22 January at Shoal Bay Country Club in Shoal Bay, followed by dates at Erina, Lake Macquarie, Mona Vale, Pacific Palms, Coffs Harbour, Yamba, Brunswick Heads and Wombarra, finishing up at The Pavilion in Kiama on Saturday 13 February.
