Central Coast groovers The Moving Stills are heading out on a headline tour this August and September.

Currently travelling the country supporting Spacey Jane, the quartet’s upcoming Australian tour arrives in honour of their new EP, Half Moon Bay, which arrives in July.

The Moving Stills have locked in eight dates across the country that include two matinee shows in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Commencing with a concert at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Friday 15 August, the lads follow up with a gig at Sydney’s The Vanguard on Saturday 16 August. Then it’s off to Brizzy for two shows at The Brightside on Friday 22 August and Black Bear Lodges on Sunday 24 August (U18 matinee), and two gigs in Melbourne at The Night Cat on Thursday 29 August and The Leadbeater on Saturday 30 August (All ages matinee).

The tour wraps up with shows at Fremantle’s Mojo’s on Friday 5 September and Adelaide’s Jive on Saturday 6 September.

Comprising Tom Mahler (vocals, guitar), Brad Guthmann (bass), Mike Drennan (guitar, vocals), and Ben Day (drums), The Moving Stills have been getting people grooving on dancefloors across Australia for close to ten years.

Merging surf rock with ‘80s garage influence, the lads dropped a slew of singles across the late ‘00s before releasing their debut 2022 record, Sunshine Corner.

They followed up a year later with Wabi Sabi, establishing themselves as one of the country’s most promising upcoming rock acts.

Catch The Moving Stills at The Gov on Saturday 6 September. Tickets are on sale now via moshtix.com.au.
