The Avalanches New Album ‘No Bad Memories’ To Feature 31 Tracks
The record features contributions from Karen O, Haley Joel Osment, Mike Patton, Rivers Cuomo and more.

The Avalanches are going all out for their fourth studio album, No Bad Memories, out Friday 16 October via EMI Australia, revealing a 31-song tracklist.
Not only is this the longest album in the band's history, but also the most collaborative, with over 20 artists tapped to contribute.
The record features vocals from Mike Patton, Karen O and River Cuomo alongside contributors including Japanese visual and sound artist Ryoji Ikeda, Louisiana producer and singer-songwriter Portraits of Tracy, Panda Bear of Animal Collective and actor Haley Joel Osment.
You can check out the full tracklist and collaborators below.
A joint statement from the band about the album says: "It's been interesting as adults to reflect on this often stunning period of marketing - the creativity, filmmaking, photography and music - but which was also - you know, selling a completely unobtainable dream. The way we value devices and products; the way we reflect and represent ‘a life lived’; the wonder of memory and deep power of nostalgia, especially in sound.
"Revisiting imagery and jingles from childhood and realising how profoundly they have stuck…Taking these sound sources from within the heart of this kinda corporate framework and flipping the fragments into our own kind of joyous pop music…eventually we arrived at this world of No Bad Memories."

Following 2020's We Will Always Love You, No Bad Memories shapes up as The Avalanches' most experimental project yet, which is saying something.
The trio of Robbie Chater, Tony Di Blasi and Andy Szekeres are responsible for one of the greatest albums of all time, 2000s Since I Left You, and have gained a reputation for their dynamic live setup.
Fresh from playing Primavera Sound Barcelona and their first-ever live show in Mexico, fingers crossed the release of No Bad Memories ties in with an Australian tour.
No Bad Memories by The Avalanches is out Friday 16 October via EMI Australia. Pre-order/pre-save here.
