Formed in high school, Sly Withers have been out there getting it done for close to 15 years. Releasing their self-titled debut in 2016, the band found notoriety with their single ‘Close’, leading to a deal with Dew Process in 2019. Sly Wither’s sophomore album, Gardens, followed in 2021, peaking at #10 on the ARIA Album Charts. Their third long player, Overgrown, dropped in 2022 and also made it to #10 on the ARIA Album Charts.
The current lineup of original members Jono Mata (lead and backing vocals, guitar), Sam Blitvich (lead and backing vocals, guitar) and Shea Moriarty (bass, backing vocals), alongside recent addition Fraser Cringle (drums), have spent the past couple of years touring and writing new material, releasing their first single of 2025, ‘Restless’, in April of this year.
