Second Wave of Speakers Revealed for 2026 Regional and Remote Music Summit

Ahead of this year's Regional and Remote Music Summit at Berrin/Mount Gambier in South Australia, organisers have revealed 19 new speakers set to take to the stage across the three-day event.

Held from Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 October, the annual summit hits SA for the first time, with over 40 speakers now announced.

The Summit will feature conversations about the Australian music industry, First Nations perspectives, local government involvement, sustainable pathways for artists and music industry people, the future of music in regional areas and many more.

The list of new speakers includes DEM MOB's Basso, Gully and PAYDAE, Edge Radio 99.3 FM Music Director Aeron Clark, MusicNSW Artist & Regional Manager Sophie Jones, City of Albany Cultural Development Officer Donna Cameron and many more.

They join Emily Tulloch from Australian Music Industry Network, Creative Australia's Dr Christen Cornell, Maddy Smith from UNIFIED, Jeremy Conlon of MusicNT, Daan Steffens from Gutwrench Records and Adelaide's own Gareth Lewis from General Admission Entertainment. The Summit has also announced its live music program, focusing on emerging artists with most events free and open to the public. 

Opening night sees Alison Newman, Gernz, Sexy As Shit and Stokes performing at Woolstore Brewery, with the lineup curated by Rock Lock Records owner Jack Lane.

Thursday brings a delegate-only Moshtix Margaritas at the Globe Hotel, curated by General Admission Entertainment, with Greasy, Ned Baulderstone and Piper Wallin performing, followed by the Adelaide University Alumni Showcase at Limestone Coast Pantry featuring DEM MOB, My Cherie and The Genevieves.

The live music program ends at lunch on Friday with the Carclew x Wildlive Showcase, which takes place on a 100% off-grid stage with performances from emerging artists Cheleigh, Bousta and Live Slug Reaction.

The 2026 national Summit is managed and delivered by MusicSA, in partnership with the Australian Government through Music Australia and the Government of South Australia through the Music Development Office, and will continue its mission to champion regional creativity, strengthen touring networks and amplify the voices of artists and music workers living and creating outside metropolitan centres.
