UK collective SAULT are back with their 13th album, Chapter 1.
Founded by producer Inflo and featuring his wife Cleo Sol, the group have dropped another surprise release that continues SAULT’s journey through musical genres, with Chapter 1 a smooth merging of soul, funk, blues, R&B and more.
The record features contributions from singer-songwriter Jack Peñate and hitmakers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
Taking to Instagram to announce the album, SAULT wrote: “We are so grateful to share this body of work with you, thank you for being on this path with us. Thank you for embracing us and giving us the freedom to create whatever we like and whenever we like, we overstand that this is rare. We truly appreciate every single one of you, the journey continues, enjoy.”

The album arrives after a year SAULT would like to forget. Although 2025 saw the release of their album 10, which was relatively well received, the group performed their second-ever live show to poor reviews.
Then, frequent collaborator Little Simz sued Inflo, aka Dean Cover, her former producer, for failing to pay back a $2.2 million loan that covered the cost of SAULT’s first live show.
Hopefully, Chapter 1 is a new beginning for SAULT and there is more music to come.
