Queens of the Stone Age Share 'Where the Goth Girls At?'

Who would have ever thought Queens of the Stone Age and Drake would have something in common?

'Where the Goth Girls At?' is the desert rock outfit's latest taste of their new album, Perfecth, out Friday 30 October via Matador.

A flirtatious ode to the goth girls frontman Josh Homme fantasised about as a young lad, the track continues to build anticipation for QOTSA's next record.

"Growing up... watching the goth girls working the counter at JCPenney and giving goth makeovers to the old ladies, that’s when I knew the only place I want to be is where the goth girls at," said frontman Josh Homme. "Teenage love, ain’t it grand?"

Accompanying the track is another interesting music video featuring a bunch of goth girls taking over a power plant. Directed by Christopher Gruse and Tony Wolski, there's lots of black, including several goths spewing some form of black liquid onto the workers like a zombie film.

The clip features members of Queens of the Stone Age along with comedian Steve Agee, dancer Scarlett Kapella and singer-actress Lou Lou Safran.

'Where the Goth Girls At?' follows previously released singles 'Easy Street' and 'Insignificant Other' and arrives ahead of the band's Australian and New Zealand return this December.

Joined by Primus and Australia's own Tropical Fuck Storm, Queens have locked in seven massive concerts, kicking things off in Adelaide at The Drive on Tuesday 8 December.

QOTSA then plays Hobart's MyState Bank Arena on Friday 11 December before hitting up Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Sunday 13 December, Afterpay Arena in Sydney on Tuesday 15 December, Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 16 December and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Friday 18 December.

The tour comes to an end in New Zealand at Auckland's Spark Arena on Sunday 20 December. Tickets are on sale now at livenation.com.au.
