Have you ever wanted a career in the music industry but are unsure where to start? Then the Push’s Music Careers Expo is for you.
Held in three locations in Victoria, South Australia and Queensland, the free event comprises workshops, presentations and a variety of info stalls where you can learn all you need to know about entering the music industry.
The South Australian event takes place Tuesday August 20 between 10am and 3pm at The Gov. While the full lineup of speakers and workshops is yet to be announced, you can buy tickets now via Moshtix.
Push is an Australian not-for-profit youth organisation based in Melbourne that aims to support young people in the music industry. Some of the key points from Push’s mission statement include supporting more than 10,000 Aussie youths by providing them access to education and training programs, giving 140,00 young people the chance to attend accessible, all-ages music events where they will feel safe and implementing a first Reconciliation Action Plan.
Some of the great local artists who have been helped by the program include Courtney Barnett, Alex Lahey, Alice Ivy and Angie McMahon.
