Melbourne’s self-professed “bogan funk” outfit Playlunch have shared the relatable new single, ‘Real Estate Apps’.
Taken from the band’s sophomore album Sex Ed, released last week (August 22) via ABC Music, ‘Real Estate Apps’ is a hilarious but pertinent track about real estate agents and the current rental crisis.
‘Real Estate Apps’ samples the classic Aunty Donna skit “I’m A C*nt’ and features a cameo from influencer/activist Jordan Van Den Lamb (aka Purplepingers) in the hilarious music video.
“This song is about the life you lead as a renter,” says Liam Bell, “one of open for inspections, late nights trawling domain.com listings, unread repair request emails and all the useless property managers who, most of the time these days don’t even pretend to give a fuck about you.”
Coming in at 11 tracks, Sex Ed includes the previously released singles ‘Station Rat’, ‘Boys’ and ‘Keith’.
