After sharing several new singles over the past ten months, Perth drum and bass legends Pendulum have announced they are releasing their first studio album, Inertia, in 15 years.
Arriving August 22 via Mushroom Music (pre-order here), Inertia includes the singles ‘Napalm’, featuring American hip hop duo Joey Valence & Brae, and the just-released scorcher ‘Save the Cat’.
“It was written during a period of self-questioning and frustration,” Pendulum frontman Rob Swire explained, as reported by NME. “Love felt like something I didn’t fully trust myself with anymore.”
Inertia follows 2010s Immersion and contains 16 tracks and includes collaborations with Bullet For My Valentine, WARGASM, Joey Valence & Brae, AWOLNATION, Scarlxrd and Hybrid Minds.

One of Australia’s greatest electronic exports, Pendulum made a name for themselves in 2025 with the release of their debut album, Hold Your Colour, which has gone on to become one of the best-selling drum and bass albums of all time.
The Perth legends have sold over 1 million albums and have close to 3 million monthly Spotify listeners, with follow-up albums In Silico (2008) and Immersion (2010) solidifying Pendulum’s hold on the DnB scene until their surprise 2012 hiatus.
Returning in 2015, Pendulum have continued to release one-off singles and a couple of EPs – Elemental (2021) and Anima (2023) – while touring the globe, with the current iteration of the group performing across the UK and Europe over the European summer.
