Old Mervs Share New Single ‘Tether’ Ahead of International Tour
The track arrives as the lads gear up for shows across North America and Canada.

Perth mates Old Mervs are back with their second single of 2026, ‘Tether’. Following on from the nostalgia-inspired single ‘Heavy In The Morning’, which dropped earlier this year, the duo’s latest lands as they begin their tour across North America.
Out now via Dew Process/Universal Music, ‘Tether’ is another Chris Collins (Royel Otis, Matt Corby, Ruby Fields) production that plays to the duo’s guitar/drums indie swagger strength.
It’s quite straightforward musically, but retains the Old Mervs’ charm that the band’s David House and Henry Carrington-Jones are known for.
‘Tether’ is accompanied by a music video directed and edited by Andrew Briggs that looks like something straight out of the ‘90s.
Hailing from the tiny farming community of Kojonup, a town three hours south of Perth, Old Mervs have fast made an impact on the Aussie music scene, gaining thousands of streams and sharing stages with the likes of Liam Gallagher, The Wombats, Spacey Jane and King Stringray.
Dropping their self-titled debut album in 2025, the record climbed to #4 on the AIRA Albums Chart and included the singles ‘What You’ve Lost’, ‘Parched’, ‘Don’t Go’ and ‘Everyone Will See It’.
Having just wrapped up a tour of Australia, the lads are gearing up to hit North America and Canada, including performances at New York’s Gov Ball and Milwaukee’s Summerfest, before they hit Boardmasters Music Festival in the UK in August.
