Ocean Sleeper Announce 'Peace When I'm Dead' Pre-Release Parties

Ahead of the release of Ocean Sleeper's sophomore album Peace When I'm Dead, out Friday 28 August via BMG Australia/Rise Records, the regional kings of Gippsland have announced a series of exclusive VIP pre-release parties to celebrate their forthcoming album.

These parties will give VIP ticket holders an exclusive first listen of the album, followed by a Q&A with the band. There will also be exclusive attendee-only merch on offer for fans to pick up, including limited-edition t-shirts embedded with an NFC tag that unlocks the album.

The Peace When I'm Dead pre-release parties take place in Adelaide at the Ed Castle on Thursday 20 August from 6pm-12am, followed by Sydney's Burdekin Hotel on Friday 21 August from 6pm-12am and Brisbane's Crowbar on Saturday 22 August to 12pm-4pm, with the final listening party taking place on Sunday 23 August in Melbourne at The Lead Beater Hotel from 12pm-4pm.

Along with these pre-release parties, Ocean Sleeper are hitting the road in September for a national tour with special guests Nevertel, Vana and Outloved.

The tour gets underway in Sydney at Liberty Hall on Friday 4 September. The four-piece then heads to Brisbane for a gig at The Princess Theatre on Saturday 5 September, followed by shows at Magnet House in Perth on Thursday 10 September, Hindley Street Music Hall in Adelaide on Friday 11 September and a massive show at the Forum in Melbourne on Saturday 12 September.

Over the past few months, Ocean Sleeper have shared three powerful tracks from Peace When I'm Dead: 'Break The Cycle', 'Peace When I’m Dead' and 'My Forever Drug'.  The album captures the weight of grief, guilt, and regret, and is the band's most personal project yet.

"This band has never been afraid to dive into the darker parts of our lives, and this album is no exception," says Karl Spiessl, lead vocalist. "At its core, the record explores the ongoing battle we have with ourselves - that constant inner struggle that can feel endless. It's about coming to terms with the idea that this conflict may always be part of the human experience, and learning to accept that reality."
