Aussie heavy music trailblazers Northlane have revealed their seventh studio album, Anemoia, is set for release on Friday 30 October via Independent/Immortal Music Group.

The Blacktown outfit have also announced their biggest headline tour of Australia to celebrate their new record, along with sharing their new single 'CUT_it'.

Following April's 'Evian', the band's latest is a devastating explosion of metalcore madness detailing burnout and exhaustion, with vocalist Marcus Bridge in fine form.

"'CUT_it' is about burnout - the feeling of grinding through things when you're completely spent, mentally and physically," explains Bridge. "The imagery is deliberately visceral, painting a picture of that exhaustion rather than analysing it."

Executive produced by Jordan Fish, Anemoia was influenced by UK producer and DJ Evian Christ. After witnessing him perfomring live, Northlane songwriter and guitarist Jon Deiley was inspired to incorporate trance elements into the band's signature sound, creating an album steeped in their heavy origins while embracing trance, drum and bass, jungle and pop.

"There's darkness here, but it's not nihilism - and there's hope, but it's not naivety,"  adds Bridge.
