Budjerah Drops Debut Album 'Gentleman', Announces National Tour

After a slew of ear-friendly singles – 'Even At Worst', 'Could I Be', 'Gentleman' and 'Want You Back', emerging singer-songwriter Budjerah has shared his hotly anticipated debut album, Gentleman, out now via Warner Music Australia.

Gentleman is a collection of 11 tracks produced by Grammy Award-winner Om’Mas Keith (Frank Ocean, JAY Z) that captures the growth Budjerah has experienced while recording the album from the age of 20 to 24.

Working with a selection of A-list songwriters, including Poo Bear (Justin Bieber), Diane Warren (Celine Dion, Beyoncé), Philip Lawrence (Bruno Mars), Rob Lewis (Christina Aguilera), Autumn Rowe (Alexis Jordan) and Alex Burnett (Thelma Plum), Gentleman is a sonically wonderful construction of R&B, soul and modern pop.

Of the album, Budjerah says, "Gentleman is my debut album, and it’s inspired by who I wanted to be when I was growing up. This album was almost a 4-year process for me. Between my life at home and life on the road, I experienced so much change and growth. Chasing my dreams, I faced new challenges which helped me understand who I wanted to be. Every song on this album holds a piece of me. I hope little Budjerah is proud."

Keen to share the album with fans, Budjerah is taking Gentlemen on the road for five special shows, although sadly, Adelaide misses out.

Budjerah's tour takes in The Espy in Melbourne on Saturday 31 October, followed by Anglesea's The Sound Doctor on Sunday 1 November and Sydney's Metro Social on Saturday 7 November, before the singer-songwriter heads to Queensland for two gigs at Miami Marketta on the Gold Coast on Friday 20 November and Brisbane's Triffid Beer Garden on Saturday 21 November. Having amassed over 60 million combined streams, won two ARIA Awards (Breakthrough Artist in 2021 and Best Soul/R&B Release in 2022) and opened for Ed Sheeran in 2023, Budjerah has done more over the past four years than many artists dream of, and the release of Gentleman promises there is a lot more to come.
